From the editor's desk!
Welcome to the latest issue of the High Tech AIDCourier.
A little late this month, but there will be no issue in June as travel
commitments take me away from the office. June is a big month with the big
ISO standards meeting for our industry taking place in Singapore. Look for
news next issue.
We are still looking for some sponsors for the newsletter. Send an email to
news@hightechaid.com for details.
As always, providing this newsletter is just a part of what we have to
offer here at High Tech Aid. When your problem needs have you overwhelmed,
then you need to get help and that is why we are here. We specialize in
education, but the spectrum of services is much greater than that. Call or
email us for more information. Visit the web site
www.hightechaid.com for
more information on basic technology details as well as many other things.
E-mail me at news@hightechaid.com
and tell us what you think. Don’t forget to send this issue to your
friends so that they can sign up for their own issue of the free
newsletter at

RFID Standards
At last EPCglobal™ have made some of the more current specifications
available on their web site. Visit
http://www.epcglobalinc.org/standards_technology/
specifications.html to get the latest documents including the UHF Gen 2
specification.
In other standards work, the ISO version of Gen 2 has passed the first
hurdle with a positive vote in the PDAM ballot. This means that the
committee can get to work on the comments at their meeting in Singapore and
we can look forward to the standard moving to the next level very soon. New
work will also begin in Singapore on battery assisted tags and sensors as
all the parts of ISO 18000 are opened for revisions.
If you want more information on ISO standardization or on any issue of
RFID standardization, then email
