Steve Halliday

From the editor's desk!

Welcome to the latest issue of the High Tech AIDCourier.

Another full month of news has gone by and we are trying to get back to a more stable delivery date for the newsletter. Travel and work load can sometimes make us late with the newsletter.

If you are interested in going back in history and looking at what happened in the AIDC world, then you can visit http://www.hightechaid.com/newsletter/aidcourier
_archive.htm and see all the newsletters published since the first one in May 2002. There is even a search function setup to make it easy for you to find something you are looking for.

This month proved that backups really are a good thing as I tried to upgrade a program and it trod all over the drivers in windows and the computer crashed spectacularly. I had an up to date backup and was able to re-install Windows and restore all my data, but boy did it take a while to get back on top of everything. With all the technology advances we are seeing, I wonder when we will have self-repairing computers?

Providing this newsletter is just a part of what we have to offer here at High Tech Aid. When your problem needs have you overwhelmed, then you need to get help and that is why we are here. We specialize in education, but the spectrum of services is much greater than that. Call or email us for more information. Visit the web site www.hightechaid.com for more information on basic technology details as well as many other things.

E-mail me at editor@hightechaid.com and tell us what you think. Don’t forget to send this issue to your friends so that they can sign up for their own issue of the free newsletter at www.hightechaid.com. If you have news to share or info you need, let me know at news@hightechaid.com.

  • ISO/IEC 18000-3.1 Information Technology AIDC Techniques-RFID for Item Management – Air Interface Part 3 – Parameters for Air Interface Communications at 13.56 MHz
  • ISO/IEC 18000-6.1 Information Technology AIDC Techniques-RFID for Item Management – Air Interface Part 6 – Parameters for Air Interface Communications at 860 – 960 MHz

If you want more information on ISO standardization or on any issue of RFID standardization, then email steve@hightechaid.com
